If you are here in some sort of technical or specialist capacity it may not be necessary but for other reasons too you might be interested in maintaining business contacts with your expatriate compatriots.
There are a number of official representations of nations’ Chambers of Commerce and ‘less official’ business associations. Europeans have it easy (or not) in this sense, there is a combined ‘EuroCham’ which does not quite follow the EU and of which the Austrian, British, Belgium, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Irish, Luxembourg, Swedish and Swiss chambers and associations are member. The EuroCham organizes events but the individual members too.
Japanese can turn to the Japanese Chamber of Commerce & Industry, the Americans (meaning U.S.) can visit the American Chamber of Commerce and for Indians there is the Singapore Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Not based on nationality there is also an association for Business and Professional Women in Singapore. Whether membership to any of these is useful to you, you will have to check out yourself:
