Organising a (birthday) party

What to do for a (birthday)party for your son or daughter? The easy thing is to drop them in the pool, generally a guaranteed success and it is always fun to prepare games etc. for the party and if you do not have the time or the imagination to do it yourself there are some such as 'Fantasy Parties' that organise a whole theme'd party for you including the 'party manager'.

There are however also 'outdoor' alternatives if you want something different. Though likely just as tiring they are at least less messy (in your house), some examples:

Cooking/baking

It depends a bit on the age of the kids involved but it is surprising how they will love to get their hands in a bowl of dough and start kneading and shaping. It is great fun and it fills their stomachs too (provided they were successful). One of the site owners did it and you can see some impressions here. There are a number of suppliers for this activity.

Science

Yes, you can have a party at the science centre including a science demonstration and a meal from the 'big M', what we call sensible entertainment!

Winter wonders

Snow fun in Singapore Now that is fun, a winter surprise in Singapore. Go skating or sleighing with a group! There are some skating rinks and there is 'Snow City' where you can let a group enjoy some real cold (again) for a while. Children will love it and food can be provided but you will have to make sure there are sufficient warm clothes!

Zoo / Bird Park

Both have outlets of the major fast-food chains and can supply a very entertaining day with a visit added, the kids will love it.

Climbing

For the adventurous there is also the possibility to have a party at one of the climb walls in Singapore, either indoor or outdoor. You may have to cater yourself but the kids will enjoy it!
