What to say. Singapore being the small island it is you would think a bike is a great way to get around but there are 2 things that might make you reconsider; One, it’s hot and humid so unless you are riding for exercise and don’t mind the sweat it’s not that comfortable and two, you’ll need nerves of steel.
The Singapore roads and traffic are not very bike friendly, if you’re an adult you may want to risk driving on the main roads but don’t let your kids do it! They can cycle on the grounds of your place or the backstreets but we would not advice you to let them ‘loose’. Cycling is not that common other than for short trips or exercise.
Bring a helmet (or buy one here) and if you are bringing your own bike bring some tools and spares, your particular brand or size may not be available here.
